The Range
Wildfire operations vary widely, from individual crew leaders navigating
on foot to command vehicles coordinating multiple fronts. No single
device fits every scenario. The Wildcaster hardware range covers
multiple screen sizes and operating systems so that each deployment
matches the operational reality on the ground.
8″ Compact
Crew-level field unit
Lightweight and one-hand operable. Designed for crew leaders and
scouts who need WildCaster predictions while moving through
terrain on foot.
10″ Standard
Primary field tablet
The core deployment format. Large enough for detailed 3D map
work, portable enough for vehicle and field use. The default
choice for most fire services.
Windows & Linux
Full desktop platforms
For command centres, vehicle-mounted stations, and organisations
requiring integration with existing IT infrastructure and
enterprise management tools.
Android
Mobile-first deployment
Optimised for rapid field deployment. Familiar interface,
instant-on operation, and broad availability of rugged Android
hardware from multiple manufacturers.
Why Rugged Hardware
Consumer devices fail in wildfire environments. Direct sunlight washes
out screens, heat throttles processors, dust and ash infiltrate ports,
and a single drop on rock ends the mission. Every tablet in the
Wildcaster pipeline is built to survive the conditions where
firefighters actually work: extreme heat, heavy dust, rain, vibration,
and rough handling with gloved hands.
CE Certified & Validated
All devices in the Wildcaster range carry CE certification and meet the
ruggedness standards required for professional field equipment. Beyond
standard certification, every model undergoes Wildcaster-specific
validation: WildEngine computation benchmarks, WildGeo data sync
testing, and full-day field endurance trials with fire services in real
operational conditions. Only devices that pass the complete validation
pipeline are approved for deployment.
